Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Butter or grease two 5" oven-safe baking dishes.
Mix the Apples
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well to coat the apples evenly.
Distribute the Apples

Cover the Dishes
- Cover the baking dishes with aluminum foil to keep moisture in.
Initial Cooking
- Air fry the dishes for 10 minutes at 400°F. Shake halfway through for even cooking.
Prepare the Topping
- In a small bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until crumbly.
Add the Topping
- After 10 minutes, remove the foil and sprinkle the topping over the apples.
Final Cooking
- Lower temperature to 350°F (175°C) and air fry for an additional 5 minutes, or until topping is golden brown.
Cool and Serve
- Remove from air fryer and let cool for about 5 minutes. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce.
Notes
