- Core the apples: Remove the cores and slice them into 1/2 inch rings or wedges.
- Make the syrup mixture: In a bowl, mix the maple syrup, oil, cinnamon, and salt until well blended.
- Coat the apple slices: Toss the apple slices in the syrup mixture until fully coated.
- Air fry the apples: Place the apple slices evenly in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Serve warm: Serve the apple slices topped with vanilla ice cream or whipping cream.
Notes
Ensure the butter for serving is at room temperature for easy spreading. If using thick maple syrup, warm it slightly.
