Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan using a non-stick spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well blended.
  3. In another bowl, combine grated zucchini, apples, and applesauce, stirring until integrated.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture using a spatula; mix until just combined.
  5. If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips for added flavor and texture.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  7. Allow the bread to cool for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For a vegan variation, use flaxseed meal mixed with water to replace eggs. For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend containing xanthan gum.
