Wet Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups milk Whole milk for richness, any milk works.
  • 0.25 cup melted butter Let cool before mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla for best flavor.
Fruits and Nuts
  • 1 cup mixed dried fruits (raisins, cranberries, apricots) Use high-quality organic fruits.
  • 0.5 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds) Toast before adding for better flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
  3. Toss in mixed dried fruits and chopped nuts, coating them with the flour mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently until just combined.
  6. Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper, then transfer the mixture into the pan.
Baking
  1. Place the loaf in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  2. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
  3. Allow to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
