Ingredients
  

For the tea
  • 6 bags black tea bags Use a classic brand like Lipton or Twinings for robust flavor.
  • 6 cups water Filtered or bottled water for crisp and clean tea.
For the syrup and flavoring
  • 1 cup blueberry simple syrup Homemade recommended. Simmer equal parts water and sugar with fresh blueberries.
  • 1 lemon juiced Use fresh lemon for best results (about 4 tablespoons of juice).
  • Mint leaves Optional garnish for freshness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, bring 6 cups of water to a rolling boil.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the 6 black tea bags. Let them steep for 5 minutes.
  3. After 5 minutes, remove the tea bags and pour the brewed tea into a large pitcher.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of the blueberry simple syrup and the juice of 1 lemon. Adjust sweetness to taste.
  5. Refrigerate until chilled (at least 2 hours) or serve immediately over ice.

Notes

This blueberry iced tea can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week in an airtight container. Consider preparing the syrup and tea a day ahead for a quicker serving time.
