Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Use packed light or dark brown sugar for that deep caramel flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Bacon, chopped Choose high-quality bacon, preferably natural and nitrate-free, for the best flavor.
  • 1 package Little Smokies (cocktail sausages) Look for classic or beef versions depending on your preference.
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup Pure maple syrup adds a delightful richness. Avoid imitation syrup for the best taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground for a hint of spice. Adjust according to your taste.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, chopped bacon, maple syrup, and black pepper. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
  3. Add the little smokies to the bowl and gently toss them in the brown sugar and bacon mixture until completely coated.
Cooking
  1. Transfer the coated sausages to a baking dish in a single layer.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is beautifully crisped and the sugar has caramelized.
  3. Once baked, remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
