Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture and mix until just combined.
- Scoop dough, roll into balls, and then roll in granulated sugar.
Baking
- Place the dough balls on prepared baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
