Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread, butter side down, on a baking sheet.
- Divide the chicken mixture evenly on top of the prepared bread slices.
- Layer sliced avocado on top of the chicken.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the avocado.
- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, butter side up.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
- Cut each sandwich in half, if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For a perfectly toasted sandwich, consider grilling them in a skillet over medium heat, flipping halfway through.
