  • 2 cups pretzels Traditional pretzel twists are preferred for their shape and crunch.
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use high-quality semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Homemade or store-bought. Recommended brands: Hershey's or Smucker's.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) Pecans, walnuts, or peanuts work well.
  • sea salt For topping, use a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the pretzels evenly on the lined baking sheet in a single layer.
Cooking
  1. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the caramel sauce until smooth and pourable.
  2. Pour the melted caramel evenly over the pretzels and bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbling.
  3. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let sit for a few minutes before spreading them over the warm caramel.
  4. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts and a little sea salt on top.
  5. Allow the bark to cool completely before breaking it into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, and refrigerate for up to two weeks.
