Ingredients
  

Cocktail Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice Substitute lime juice if desired.
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar Adjust according to your taste preference.
  • 3 ounces dry gin Opt for a good quality gin like Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire.
  • 1/4 cup cranberry juice Use 100% juice for the best flavor, or muddle fresh cranberries.
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Preferably fresh for a zesty kick.
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup Make your own by dissolving equal parts sugar and water.
  • Ice ice cubes Use clear ice for a classy touch.
  • 1 cup club soda For topping, adds fizz to the cocktail.
  • as needed sugared cranberries Garnish - coat cranberries in simple syrup and roll in sugar.
  • 1 sprig rosemary For garnish, adds aromatic layer.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare your glasses by setting out two small plates. Add lemon juice on one plate and granulated sugar on the other.
  2. Wet the rim of a lowball glass with lemon juice, then dip it into the sugar to coat evenly. Repeat with the second glass.
Mixing the Cocktail
  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the gin, cranberry juice, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and simple syrup.
  2. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
Serving
  1. Fill each prepared glass with ice cubes. Strain half of the gin mixture into the first glass filled with ice. Top with club soda.
  2. Repeat the process for the second glass.
  3. Garnish each drink with a few sugared cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy your Christmas Gin Fizz!

Notes

Adjust sweetness to your preference. You can prepare the cocktail base in advance and add soda just before serving.
