Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until evenly incorporated.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.
- Scoop spoonfuls of dough and roll them into golf ball-sized balls.
- Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them to spread.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers still look gooey.
- Allow cookies to cool slightly, then roll them in additional powdered sugar while they’re still warm.
- Let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container to maintain texture; reheat gently in an oven. These cookies make great gifts when packaged decoratively.
