Method
Prepare the Brownie Batter
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and whisk in 2 cups of granulated sugar until smooth. Let it cool slightly before adding 4 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Add the Dry Ingredients
- Sift together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt in another bowl.
- Gradually fold the flour mixture into the wet ingredients using a rubber spatula until smooth; do not overmix.
- Optionally, fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
Bake the Brownies
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
Cut and Decorate Like Gifts
- Once cooled, lift out the brownies using parchment paper and cut into squares.
- Melt the candy melts in separate bowls and drizzle over each brownie.
- Add mini bows or sprinkles to decorate.
Let the Decorations Set
- Allow the decorated brownies to set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
Notes
