  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar For the perfect sweetness without the graininess.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for enhanced flavor.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Properly measure by spooning into the cup and leveling.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances flavors and balances sweetness.
Decoration
  • Red and green sprinkles Adds a festive touch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes with an electric mixer on medium speed).
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  4. Gradually mix in the flour and salt, starting slow to prevent flour clouds.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls, approximately 1 inch in size, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Flatten each ball slightly and top with red and green sprinkles.
Baking
  1. Bake in your preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just lightly golden.
  2. Let the cookie bites cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months. Overmixing the dough can lead to tough cookies, so mix just until combined.
