Ingredients
  

For the Bread
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour for the perfect bread structure
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar for sweetness
  • 0.25 cups brown sugar packed—adds a rich flavor and moisture
  • 1 tsp baking powder for that lovely rise
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda to complement the acidity of the other ingredients
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon your star flavor!
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg for a warm, nutty note
  • 0.5 tsp salt to enhance sweetness
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, melted make sure it's at room temperature for easy blending
  • 2 large eggs for structure and richness
  • 0.5 cups milk for moistness—whole or any plant-based milk works!
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract because vanilla makes everything better
For the Topping
  • 0.25 cups granulated sugar for the topping
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for an extra dash of flavor over the top
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted to drizzle before adding the topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan generously with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually pour the wet mixture into your dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, and give it a gentle tap to remove any air bubbles.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Drizzle the top of your batter with 2 tablespoons of melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the top.
Baking
  1. Place your loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
  2. Once baked, cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Storage
  1. Keep your bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or in the fridge for 5 days. To freeze, wrap it tightly and store it for up to 3 months.

Notes

Use high-quality vanilla extract and fresh spices for the best results. You can also customize by adding chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit.
