- In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, coconut cream, white rum, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Blend until smooth for about 30-45 seconds.
- If you desire a thinner texture, add the optional water and blend again until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a decorative bottle or container. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours; overnight is ideal for optimal flavor infusion.
- Before serving, give the Coquito a good shake to make sure everything is evenly distributed. If the mixture separates, shake vigorously.
- Serve chilled in glasses, garnished with a dash of cinnamon or a sprinkling of nutmeg for an elegant touch.
Notes
Coquito can last in the fridge for 4-6 days. It’s an excellent make-ahead drink. Adjust sweetness and spice levels to your taste. Flavor infusions can elevate your Coquito, and keeping it chilled is crucial for serving.
