Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine cranberries, sliced apples, and granulated sugar. Toss to coat the fruit evenly.
- Spread the fruit mixture evenly in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut in the softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the fruit.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
- Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.
Notes
For extra crunch, toast the oats before adding them to the mixture. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
