Cheese Ball Base
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Use full-fat cream cheese for best flavor.
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded Opt for sharp white cheddar.
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped Feel free to use a mix of dried fruits.
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped Toasted pecans add incredible depth.
  • 2 tablespoons chives, chopped Fresh herbs add brightness.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder A pinch adds aromatic depth.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded white cheddar, dried cranberries, chopped pecans, chopped chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into a ball shape or a log, depending on your preference.
  3. Wrap the cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  4. Serve on a platter with an assortment of crackers or sliced vegetables.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Can also freeze for up to 3 months.
