Cooking the Beef
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until it starts to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the onion is soft and translucent.
- Season the beef mixture with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir well to incorporate the spices.
- Pour in the beef broth and tomato sauce, stirring until combined and bubbly.
- Add the medium pasta shells, ensuring they are fully submerged in the liquid.
- Bring to a simmer, then cover and reduce heat to low. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and part of the creamy sauce.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine, allowing to simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Ingredient quality matters; using high-quality ground beef and fresh ingredients will enhance flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. You can prepare ahead of time and reheat when ready to eat.
