Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips with a rubber spatula.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown but centers are still slightly soft.
- Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
