Ingredients

Cocktail Ingredients
  • 1.5 oz Coconut Cream Aim for high-quality coconut cream for a richer flavor; full-fat coconut milk can be used for a lighter version.
  • 1 oz Lime Juice Freshly squeezed lime juice is always best!
  • 1 oz Grenadine Choose a good brand or make your own to avoid artificial flavors.
  • Sprite or Lemon-Lime Soda This adds bubbly refreshment; soda water can be used for a less sweet version.
  • as needed Coconut Flakes (for rimming) Look for unsweetened coconut flakes for texture contrast.
  • as needed Maraschino Cherries Pick a good quality brand for best garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Rim Your Glass: Dip the rim of your glass in coconut cream, then coat it in coconut flakes and set aside.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a shaker filled with ice, combine 1 1/2 oz of coconut cream, 1 oz of lime juice, and 1 oz of grenadine. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.
  3. Strain and Pour: Carefully strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with ice.
  4. Add Some Fizz: Top off your drink with Sprite or lemon-lime soda, filling it to your desired level.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Add a maraschino cherry on top and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best coconut rim, ensure coconut flakes are finely shredded. Avoid over-shaking to keep the drink light and airy. Explore customization options by adjusting the lime juice or sweetness to your taste.
