For the Monkey Bread
  • 2 cans biscuit dough (I recommend using Pillsbury Grands for a fluffier result) Opt for the Grands biscuits for a fluffy outcome.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Packed, for that deep caramel flavor.
  • 1/8 cup ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar Use organic or raw sugar for a richer flavor.
  • 3/4 cup butter Or use 1/2 cup if you prefer a lighter option.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar For the finishing glaze.
  • 1 tbsp milk Makes the glaze silky smooth.

Method
 

Preparation & Preheat
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Break each biscuit into small pieces (about 3 tablespoons each) and roll into balls.
Assemble the Layers
  1. Generously grease a deep-dish loaf pan or bundt pan with butter.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar, stirring until well mixed.
  3. Roll each dough piece in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
  4. Place a single layer of dough balls at the bottom of the greased pan and sprinkle with 1/8 cup of brown sugar. Repeat with a second layer of dough balls followed by the rest of the brown sugar.
Final Touches Before Baking
  1. Melt the butter and pour it generously over the dough. Sprinkle with any remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Baking Time
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Prepare the Glaze
  1. While the monkey bread is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  2. Once baked, let it cool for a few minutes before drizzling the glaze over the top. Serve warm.
