Ingredients
  

For the bread

  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Use pure vanilla extract.
  • 2 teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spices Mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
For the crumb topping
  • ½ cup Cold Unsalted Butter For best texture.
  • ¾ cup Brown Sugar For a caramelized flavor.
  • 1 cup Flour Regular all-purpose flour works perfectly.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Adds warmth to the topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two loaf pans by lining with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spices.
  3. In another bowl, blend granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs, pumpkin puree, water, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
Crumb Topping
  1. Combine brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  2. Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the loaf pans and sprinkle the crumb topping over them.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Cool for 10 minutes, then transfer loaves to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Allow flavors to meld during the cooling process. For added flavor, try incorporating mix-ins like nuts or chocolate chips.
