Preparation
  1. Begin by skewering 2-3 blackberries onto each of your toothpicks or cocktail pins, and place them in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the ½ cup of fresh blackberries, 3 tablespoons of lime juice, and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Muddle the ingredients together until the blackberries are smashed and juicy.
  3. Fill the shaker with 4 ounces of bourbon and a handful of ice. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Fill lowball glasses with fresh ice and strain the mixture into the glasses evenly.
  5. Top with 8 ounces of ginger beer, allowing the bubbles to rise.
  6. Garnish with your skewered blackberries and a lime wedge. Serve immediately.

Notes

Allow ample freezing time for the blackberries to achieve the frosted effect. Adjust sweetness according to taste. Use quality ingredients for the best flavor.
