Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, melt the unsalted butter, and let it cool slightly before mixing with eggs and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just blended.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, checking at the 10-minute mark.
- The edges should be set while the centers remain soft.
Cooling
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Notes
These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for a week, or refrigerated for longer life. You can also freeze the cookie dough balls for future baking.
