Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter, eggnog, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Baking
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Glazing
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.
Notes
Store wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days, in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for up to 2 months. Can be made-ahead by keeping batter in the fridge for two days before baking.
