Preparation
- Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C).
- Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
- In a small bowl, whisk together minced garlic, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Brush both sides of each bread slice with half of the garlic-oil mixture.
- Grill the slices for 1–2 minutes per side until golden grill marks appear.
- While the bread is grilling, halve the cherry tomatoes and toss them with the remaining garlic-oil mixture and chopped basil.
- Remove the bread from the grill, and immediately rub each slice with a garlic clove.
- Top each grilled slice with a spoonful of the tomato and basil mixture.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
