  • 4 cups water using chilled water enhances the refreshing quality.
  • 2 cups pineapple juice opt for 100% juice for a healthier option.
  • 3 cups vodka choose a mid-shelf brand for better flavor balance.
  • 1/2 cup simple syrup adjust according to your palate.
  • 4 cups ginger ale a good quality brand is recommended.
  • as needed Ice don't overfill to maintain fizz.
  • 1 tablespoon honey pairs wonderfully with the punch's flavors.
  • as needed red decorating sugar for a festive rim.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the lemon-lime Kool-Aid, water, pineapple juice, simple syrup, and vodka. Stir well until fully mixed.
  2. Carefully pour in the ginger ale and give a gentle stir to incorporate without losing fizz.
  3. Rub honey around the rim of your serving glasses to help the red decorating sugar stick.
  4. Hold each glass over a bowl and pour red decorating sugar around the rim so it sticks.
  5. Fill each glass with ice before pouring in the Grinch Punch and stir if needed before serving.
Non-Alcoholic Version
  1. Follow the same preparation steps but omit the vodka and replace it with an equal amount of sparkling water or ginger beer.

Notes

Chill ingredients beforehand for a refreshing punch. To avoid a flat punch, add ginger ale last. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to two days.
