  • 3 tablespoons cranberry jam (or any red jam you love) Tart and sweet flavors complement the butter beautifully.
  • 1/4 cup crushed hazelnuts For a delightful crunch. Leave out if allergic to nuts.
  • 1 tablespoon hot honey Adds a subtle kick; use regular honey if you don’t like spice.
  • N/A N/A Thyme or rosemary For presentation and an aromatic quality.
  • N/A N/A Pomegranate seeds Adds sweetness and a beautiful crunch.
  • N/A N/A Fresh bread A selection such as baguette slices, crackers, or pita.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a serving or cutting board with parchment paper.
  2. Smear the softened butter onto the parchment in a presentable manner.
  3. If using unsalted butter, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top.
  4. Add dollops of apricot and cranberry jams around the board.
  5. Drizzle hot honey over the jams.
  6. Scatter the crushed hazelnuts over the board.
  7. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary and pomegranate seeds.
  8. Serve with fresh bread and butter knives for guests to enjoy.

Notes

Allow the butter to soften for about 30 minutes for easier spreading. Store leftovers tightly wrapped in plastic in the fridge.
