Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. Slice the jalapeño peppers in half and remove the seeds if you want less heat.
  3. Place the jalapeño halves on a baking sheet and roast in the oven for about 1 hour, or until they are completely dried. The aroma should fill your kitchen.
  4. Allow the jalapeños to cool completely.
  5. In a food processor, combine the dried jalapeños with the sea salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Blend until you reach your desired texture.
  6. Store the jalapeño salt in an airtight container, and use it to season various dishes.

Notes

To boost the nutritional value, consider adding nutritional yeast. Use this salt as a spice rub for meats or veggies before grilling.
