Hot Chocolate Dip Ingredients
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or dark chocolate for rich flavor.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Ensure it's fresh and at room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar Adjust to your taste.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances the sweetness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer (about 4-5 minutes). Keep an eye on it to avoid boiling over.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth (about 2 minutes).
  3. Add vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and salt; whisk until well combined. Taste it and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve warm with an array of dippers.

Notes

Consider topping the dip with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
