  • 3 tbsp hot water Hot, not boiling, water around 175°F (80°C).
Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm water After preparing the matcha, this will help smooth the blend.
  • 1 cup milk Use whole milk or your favorite plant-based milk.
  • 1 tsp honey For sweetness; you can swap with maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • Ice fresh ice cubes To chill your drink rapidly.

Preparation
  1. Measure out 2.5 tsp of matcha powder into a small bowl.
  2. Pour in 3 tbsp of hot water and whisk vigorously for 30-45 seconds until smooth and frothy.
  3. Add 1 cup of warm water to your matcha mixture and stir gently to combine completely.
  4. Transfer the bowl to the freezer for about 15 minutes or until it’s chilled but not frozen.
Serving
  1. Fill your serving glass with ice cubes.
  2. Pour in your choice of milk until it fills three-quarters of the glass.
  3. Stir in 1 tsp of honey while the milk is still a bit warm.
  4. Once the matcha base is chilled, pour it over your iced milk and stir gently.
  5. Enjoy your refreshing Iced Matcha Latte!

Notes

Make matcha fresh and store it in an airtight container away from light to maintain its quality. Best enjoyed fresh, and it lasts about 24 hours if refrigerated.
