Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for even cooking.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Brush the chicken on both sides with avocado oil.
  5. Coat each chicken breast with the spice mixture liberally.
Cooking
  1. Heat a cast-iron skillet or oven-safe pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear the chicken breasts in the hot skillet for about 3 minutes on each side.
  3. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Remove from oven, let rest for a few minutes, then serve hot.
