Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for even cooking.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, Italian seasoning, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
- Brush the chicken on both sides with avocado oil.
- Coat each chicken breast with the spice mixture liberally.
Cooking
- Heat a cast-iron skillet or oven-safe pan over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken breasts in the hot skillet for about 3 minutes on each side.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from oven, let rest for a few minutes, then serve hot.
Notes
