- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until it’s creamy and light in color, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually add in the powdered sugar while mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Pour in the Kahlua and continue mixing until smooth, scraping down the bowl as necessary.
- Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract, then beat on high speed for about 2-3 minutes until fluffy.
- For a chocolate version, add the cocoa powder at this step and mix until fully combined.
- Use the frosting immediately to frost your desired pastries and enjoy a taste test for quality control.
Notes
If the frosting is too thick, add milk gradually until desired consistency is reached. Store in an airtight container for up to a week in the fridge.
