Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the maple syrup, egg yolks, cornstarch, vanilla, and salt until it thickens and bubbles—about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Once thickened, remove from heat and pour into the pre-made pie crust.
  4. Let the pie cool to room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for about 2 hours until set.
  5. Before serving, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and spread over the chilled pie.
