Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the maple syrup, egg yolks, cornstarch, vanilla, and salt until it thickens and bubbles—about 5-7 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and pour into the pre-made pie crust.
- Let the pie cool to room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate for about 2 hours until set.
- Before serving, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and spread over the chilled pie.
- Slice and serve with a smile.
Notes
Store leftovers tightly covered in the fridge; they should last up to 3 days. This pie can be made a day in advance and stored before serving.
