Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 tbsp Matcha Powder Opt for culinary-grade matcha for a bold flavor. Brands like Encha or Jade Leaf are excellent choices.
  • 1.25 cups Milk Use whole milk for richness or almond milk for a dairy-free option.
  • 1.5 tbsp Sugar Feel free to substitute with honey or your preferred sweetener.
  • 0.25 tsp Vanilla Essence A touch of vanilla pairs beautifully with the matcha.
  • 0.125 tsp Almond Extract Adds a unique twist; can be replaced with more vanilla if desired.
  • 1.5 cups Ice Fresh ice for the perfect frosty blend.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by pouring the milk into your blender. Use a high-speed blender for a smooth blend.
  2. Carefully add 1.5 tbsp of matcha powder on top of the milk, ensuring there are no clumps. Whisk briefly to break up any balls of matcha.
  3. Add the sugar, vanilla essence, and almond extract.
  4. Blend on high speed for about 30-60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and frothy, looking for a beautiful green color.
  5. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness or matcha flavor as needed.
  6. Pour the mixture into tall glasses and enjoy immediately while it’s still frosty.

Notes

Best served fresh. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a day and re-blend before serving.
