Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 whole Fresh Orange Choose juicy, ripe oranges for that perfect citrus kick. Sunkist or Navel oranges are ideal.
  • 2 ounces Vodka Opt for a good quality vodka such as Tito's or Grey Goose.
  • 1 ounce Triple Sec This orange-flavored liqueur adds depth to your cocktail; Cointreau is an excellent choice.
  • 3 ounces Lemon-Lime Soda For that fizzy finish, any lemon-lime soda will do; I recommend Sprite or 7UP.
  • 1 piece Orange Wedge For garnish.
  • 1 piece Maraschino Cherry For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Fill a glass with crushed ice to keep your drink cool and create a beautiful frosty presentation.
  2. Pour in 2 ounces of vodka followed by 1 ounce of triple sec using a jigger for accuracy.
  3. Cut your fresh orange in half and squeeze out all the juice, aiming for about 2 ounces of fresh juice.
  4. Gently pour in 3 ounces of lemon-lime soda for that bubbly finish.
  5. Add the orange wedge and maraschino cherry on top for garnish.

Notes

Ensure vodka and soda are chilled before mixing. Juicing the orange should be done just before serving for maximum freshness. Avoid over-shaking or stirring the soda to retain fizz.
