Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs Room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Guittard recommended for richer flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
Mix-ins
  • 2 cups chopped Snickers bars Fresh Snickers work best.
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • ½ cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Optional for topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chopped Snickers bars and chopped peanuts until evenly distributed.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then drizzle warm caramel sauce over the top. Optionally sprinkle with chopped peanuts and chocolate chips.
  3. Let them cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for a week. Freeze for up to 3 months.
