  • 1/4 cup melted butter Unsalted is preferred
  • 2 pieces eggs Bring them to room temperature for better mixing
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract A little indulgence goes a long way!
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda For leavening, replace with baking powder if needed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Balances flavors
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Sifted for fluffiness
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or dark chocolate for richer taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan (or use parchment paper for easy removal).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Add in baking soda and salt, and mix thoroughly until incorporated.
  4. Gradually fold in the flour until just combined. Be cautious not to over-mix!
  5. Add the chocolate chips, gently folding them into the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a variation, add nuts or spices to customize the flavor. Store at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the fridge for a week.
