Ingredients
  

For the cocktail
  • 4 oz vodka Can use vanilla vodka if desired; gluten-free options available
  • 2 oz Kahlua Or any coffee liqueur of your choice
  • 3 oz fresh brewed espresso Cooled, or use strong cold brew coffee
  • 2 oz half & half For a dairy-free alternative, use Nutpods or Califia Farms Peppermint Mocha creamer
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
For garnish
  • Chocolate syrup For rimming the glasses
  • Candy canes Crushed, for garnish
  • 6 pieces espresso beans For topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Dip the rim of two martini glasses in chocolate syrup, ensuring a good coat. Then, dip them into the crushed candy canes, allowing a festive rim to form. Set aside.
Mixing
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the vodka, Kahlua, cooled espresso, half & half, and peppermint extract.
  2. Securely close the shaker and shake well for about 60 seconds until the mixture is chilled and frothy.
Serving
  1. Strain and divide the mixture evenly between the prepared glasses. As a finishing touch, garnish each drink with three espresso beans on top.

Notes
