  • 8 slices prosciutto Thinly sliced prosciutto di Parma works best.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil Opt for good-quality extra virgin olive oil.
  • to taste leaves fresh basil Use for garnishing.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wrap each mozzarella ball with a slice of prosciutto, ensuring it is thoroughly covered.
  3. Place the wrapped mozzarella on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the bites.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes until prosciutto is crispy, keeping an eye on them to avoid burning.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for best results. For a twist, try different types of cheese or add cracked black pepper before baking.
