Preparation
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef sirloin with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Cooking
- Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Toss in sliced onions and bell peppers into the pan. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the pan, pour in beef broth and hoisin sauce, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- If desired, drizzle with sesame oil before serving.
- Serve it over a bed of fragrant jasmine rice.
Notes
Always have all ingredients prepped and ready to go; stir-frying is a quick process, and everything moves fast. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge; best consumed in 3-4 days.
