Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter, stirring occasionally until fully liquid (2-3 minutes).
- Stir in the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt until smooth (1-2 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and combined.
- In a large bowl, combine Rice Krispies with the cheese mixture, ensuring each piece is coated.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the mixture evenly to about ½ inch thick.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the pan for about 10-15 minutes, then break into cracker-sized pieces.
- Serve and enjoy your crunchy, cheesy homemade snack!
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be prepared a day ahead; just store unbaked in the fridge. To troubleshoot, press down firmly before baking for firmer crackers.
