Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even melting.
- Arrange the pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Place a caramel candy on each pretzel; cut in half for a gooey center if desired.
Baking
- Bake for 5-7 minutes, until the caramel is soft but not bubbling.
- Remove from oven and immediately press a piece of chocolate on top of each caramel.
Finishing
- Allow to cool slightly, then sprinkle with sea salt.
- Let them set completely before serving, or speed up the process by placing in the fridge.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage. Customize with nuts or flavored caramels as desired.
