Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 medium Zucchini Choose firm zucchini, about 6-8 inches long for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Use unsalted butter for better control over seasoning.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended for optimal flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Freshly ground black pepper is suggested.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and slice the zucchini into rounds, aiming for uniform thickness for even cooking.
Cooking
  1. In a heavy-bottomed cast iron skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Listen for the gentle sizzle as the butter begins to foam.
  2. Introduce the minced garlic into the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, ensuring not to burn it for a deeper flavor.
  3. Toss in the sliced zucchini and season with salt and pepper. Stir occasionally, allowing it to cook for about 5-7 minutes until the zucchini is perfectly tender.
Serving
  1. Plate the warm sautéed zucchini and enjoy.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding nutritional yeast or cherry tomatoes. This dish can be made vegan by substituting butter with olive oil.
