Ingredients

For the Matcha Base
  • 2.5 tsp high-quality matcha powder Matcha Maiden recommended for vibrant green color
  • 1 tbsp hot water 175°F; this is best for properly dissolving matcha
  • 1.5 tbsp simple syrup Adjust based on your sweetness preference
To Finish the Latte
  • 1.25 cups oat milk Can substitute with almond or coconut milk
  • 1 cup ice
For the Lavender Cold Foam
  • 1.75 oz heavy cream Organic Valley recommended for rich flavor
  • 1 oz cold milk
  • 1.25 tbsp lavender syrup Monin is a great option
  • 4 drops purple food coloring Optional but fun
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Method

Make the Matcha
  1. In a glass, combine the matcha powder with hot water (175°F) and whisk vigorously until smooth to achieve a velvety consistency with no lumps. Add simple syrup and stir to combine.
Prepare the Cold Foam
  1. In another container, combine heavy cream, cold milk, lavender syrup, and food coloring. Froth the mixture using a milk frother or whisk until thick and creamy but still pourable, about 1-2 minutes.
Assemble Your Latte
  1. Fill a glass with ice. Pour the matcha base over the ice, then add oat milk and vanilla extract. Stir gently for a marbled effect if desired.
Topping It Off
  1. Spoon the lavender cold foam on top of your latte.
Enjoy Immediately
  1. Serve the latte right away while it’s frosty.

Notes

Always use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Ensure your heavy cream is cold for optimal frothing. Adjust lavender syrup to taste based on your preference.
