Main Ingredients
  • 2 oz Tequila (Patron Silver recommended) Use high-quality tequila for the best flavor.
  • 2.5 oz Pomegranate juice Freshly squeezed is best.
  • 2 oz Orange juice Fresh-squeezed tangerine juice if available.
  • 0.5 oz Orange liqueur (e.g., Cointreau) Adds a zesty kick.
  • 1 tbsp Honey Local honey preferred for added warmth.
  • 0.25 tsp Vanilla extract Adds depth.
  • 0.125 tsp Ground cinnamon A holiday staple!
  • 0.125 tsp Ground ginger Adds a little zing.
  • 1 pinch Cayenne pepper Optional for a hint of heat.
  • 1 sprig Rosemary For garnish and aroma.
  • Ginger beer Optional, for a spicy fizz!

Method

Preparation
  1. Run a slice of tangerine or orange around the rim of a rocks glass. Dip the rim into a mixture of sugar and cinnamon to create a festive edge. Fill the glass with ice.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine pomegranate juice, orange juice, tequila, orange liqueur, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and cayenne pepper. Taste along the way.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice and secure the lid tightly. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until everything is well-chilled and combined.
  4. Strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over fresh ice.
  5. If desired, top off with a splash of ginger beer for added fizz.
  6. Finish with a cinnamon stick and a sprig of rosemary for aromatic flair.

Notes

Don’t skip the rim dipping for that extra festive touch! Adjust the honey if the cocktail is too sweet.
