Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh spinach leaves Look for vibrant, fresh spinach leaves.
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced Opt for organic when possible.
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced You can substitute with green onions for a milder taste.
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled For a creamier texture, consider using goat cheese.
  • 1/4 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped Use any nuts you have on hand.
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette dressing Homemade or store-bought is fine.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, gently combine the fresh spinach, sliced strawberries, and thinly sliced red onion.
  2. Top the salad with crumbled feta cheese and chopped pecans or walnuts.
  3. Drizzle with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing and toss gently to combine.
  4. Serve immediately for the best taste, or let it chill for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

To keep your salad fresh, store the components separately and assemble right before serving. This salad can easily be made vegan by omitting the cheese or using a plant-based dressing.
