Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup Fage 5% Greek yogurt Creamy and rich!
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract For a natural sweetness
  • 2.5 tsp lemon zest Brightens up every bite!
  • 0.5 cup freeze-dried blueberries Crushed into a fine powder
  • 0.125 tsp cardamom Adds a warm, spicy note
  • 0.125 tsp salt To enhance sweetness
  • 1 tbsp honey Or to taste; feel free to adjust!
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries I recommend using Driscoll’s for their sweetness!

Method

Preparation
  1. Allow your yogurt to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before using; this makes it easier to mix.
Mixing
  1. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, lemon zest, cardamom, and salt. Whisk until everything is perfectly smooth.
  2. Stir in honey, adjusting to your sweetness preference as you go along.
  3. Crush freeze-dried blueberries into a fine powder and fold this powder into the yogurt mixture.
  4. Gently fold in the fresh blueberries, being careful not to mush them.
Freezing
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a fork, coat each fresh blueberry in the yogurt mixture, letting any excess drip off before placing them on the baking sheet.
  2. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 2 hours.
  3. Let the bites sit out for about 5 minutes before indulging for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer, lasting up to 2 months. Customize with spices, nuts, or different fruits!
