Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until well mixed.
- Stir in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour the filling into the pie crust.
Baking
- Bake for about 60 minutes or until the filling is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
Use a pie crust shield to prevent burning while ensuring the crust gets perfectly golden brown. The pie can be made a day in advance for better flavor. Store leftover pie covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
