Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they’re fully incorporated before adding the next (about another minute).
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
Baking
  1. Bake in your preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to finish cooling.
Decoration
  1. Once cooled, dip the cookies halfway into the melted chocolate and sprinkle with colored sprinkles.
  2. Let the chocolate set at room temperature before serving or packaging them as gifts.
